It is our aim to make your visit to our yurts a beautiful experience . We must ask that you read and accept the following terms and conditions which must be complied with by all persons visiting Mountain Cottage Yurts .These enable us maintain our standards, to assist in proper management and ensure your safety as well as establishing a clear legal contract for cancellation, damage and exceptional circumstance.
Please remove outdoor footwear when entering the yurts and place in the boot boxes provided to help us keep the yurts clean and tidy.
Arrival: All Yurts are available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be left in a clean condition not later than 10.30 am
Departure: On departure all yurts are to be left clean and tidy with the keys. All rubbish is to be disposed of responsibly in the recycling bins provided.
Booking: When you make a booking and payment a confirmation will be emailed to you. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract.
Cancellation by You: We understand that circumstances change and emergencies occur. If you are unable to come and have to cancel we do our best to let your holiday from our cancellations list. If we can re-let your holiday we will refund your payment less 10 % administration charge.
Cancellation by Us: Extreme Conditions: Mountain Cottage Yurts reserve the right to cancel a holiday in light of extreme conditions of: weather, terrorism or war. In any of these very unlikely circumstances your full Payment will be returned to you. Emergency Contingency: Mountain Cottage Yurts reserve the right to cancel a holiday at short notice if for unforeseeable circumstances we are unable to provide safe accommodation in a yurt due to extreme conditions, ill health, fire or administration or any other extenuating circumstance. Under such unlikely circumstances your full payment will be returned. Mountain Cottage Yurts cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss caused by cancellation.
Breakages and Damage: If on your arrival you find any items or fittings, utensils, crockery or cutlery is broken, damaged or missing, please report it to Verity and it will be replaced. We do accept a degree of wear and tear but should any significant damage or breakage occur during the period of your stay you will be held responsible for and must make good to the lowest market value. We reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning where a yurt has been left in an unacceptable condition, through waste, litter, interference in the structure, movement of furniture and contents etc.
Children: The site is an amazing place for children to play but you are responsible for them at all times Especially around hot stoves and camp fires. Mountain Cottage Yurts accept no responsibility for injury incurred on site.
Pets: Sorry No pets are allowed onsite, unfortunately this includes dogs.
Terrain: The Yurts are located in a field with uneven ground. Bring appropriate footwear, we recommend wellies or hiking boots. Mountain Cottage accept no responsibility for injury incurred on site.
Peace and Tranquillity: Mountain Cottage caters for quiet family holidays. We are not a party venue. Sound travels a long way in the countryside at night. In consideration to fellow visitors and distant neighbours we request that noise must be kept to a minimum in the evenings.
Negligence: Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the structure caused by negligence.
Facilities: Mountain Cottage Yurts provide the wood and gas needed for your booked stay as well as use of the Mountain Cottage Yurt toilet and shower on site. Please note: These facilities are for booked guests only and must be left in the manner in which you would like to receive them.
Keys: Keys to the yurt and must be left in the yurt on departure. Any lost or unreturned keys will be charged at £10.00 for replacement cost.
Stolen Property: Mountain Cottage Yurts cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.
No Smoking Policy: All Mountain Cottage Yurts hold a strict NO SMOKING POLICY smoking in any of our yurts will result in a fine of up to £100 in order to clean to a satisfactory standard. Anyone who smokes outside of the yurt is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts in a bin and NOT littering the surrounding area of the yurt.
Wildlife: There is an abundance of wildlife on site. Enjoy it but be careful. Don’t leave garbage outside of the yurts. Foxes will scatter it. Bring insect repellent in the summer months, horse flies, midges and mosquitoes appear. Ticks are present in bracken and undergrowth. Do not remove unless competent to do so but seek medical advice. Mountain Cottage Yurts accept no responsibility for injury by wildlife incurred on site.
Parental Supervision: Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on site.
Fire Policy: Fires are restricted strictly to the wood burning stoves and designated fire pit area and are used at your own risk, Mountain Cottage Yurts accept no responsibility for injury.
Yurt Structure: It is prohibited to interfere or adapt the structure of the yurt in any way.
